6m expedition in March 2003

VP6 – Ducie: Dieter DJ9ON, Hans DK9KX, Philipe FO3BM, Hiro JA1SLS, Yuichi JR2KDN, Doug N6RQS, Dave VP6DB, Mike VP6AZ a Meralda VP6MW – this is the list of operators of the second expedition to Ducie Island, which will start on the eighth or ninth of March and last for about a week. QSL 5X1T HH – Haiti: four members of the Florida DXpedition Group (FDXPG) they will be members of a thirty-member humanitarian mission group in Haiti. Between March 10-21 you can find them on the bands from 160 after 6m under the signs HH4/K4QD Jan, HH4/N2WB William, HH4/W4WX Bill a HH4/K3VN Al. QSL LU1ZC THIS – Chile: between 14. and on March 17, an activity from the island of Pan de Azucar is planned (TO-085) under the name 3G1P. Members of the Atacama Desert DX Group will participate in the expedition: CA2WUI, XQ1ZW, XQ1IDM, CE1URH, CE1VLY a CE1FLS. They will work from 160 po 6m SSB, CW, TU5PCT QSL, RTTY and possibly SSTV. QSL TX0DX ST – Sudan: Chris DL5NAM informed OPDX, that the German team finally received permission to broadcast from Sudan. They will use the ST0RY brand (Sierra Tango Zero Radio Yankee) roughly during three weeks from the beginning of March, while they also plan to participate in the WPX contest. They want to focus on the lower bands, WARC-y, RTTY at 6am. They make up the German team: Falk DK7YY (CW), Dietmar DL3DXX (CW), Uwe DL9NDS (SSB, RTTY), Felix DL7FER (SSB, CW) a Chris DL5NAM (SSB, RTTY).Their plan includes 3 KV stations with PA, 3 quarter-wave verticals to lower bands, several 10-20m yagins also with WARCs and a couple of wire antennas. Their dreams are even more daring, so they are asking the amateur radio community for help – about used KV or VHF equipment and other material. Part of it would then remain in Sudan. The ST0RY website is being worked on, an online search in the log is also being prepared (DF3CB). It will also publish information about pilot stations and a schedule of services.
