TCVR

Transceiver (TCVR) is a radio station, which shares common reception and transmission circuits. In the early days of amateur radio, the receiver and transmitter were separate devices, which were controlled completely independently. This was not entirely practical. By combining them into one unit, a transceiver was created.

Amplifiers are typical transceiver circuits, intermediate circuits, filters and oscillators. Many radio amateurs – designers – the transceiver will still build on its own. Others prefer the commercial offer of companies such as Yaesu, Kenwood, Xiegu, Icom, Baofeng, Alinco and others.
