Interference of amateur radio operation on the 80m band

I warmly greet all radio amateurs and I would like to present to the amateur radio forum a problem that users in the SSB part of the 80m band have been encountering for a long time.
The problem lies in the long-term - several years of intentional interference with amateur radio operations in this band. The interference consists of broadcasting various noises originating from electronic toys, making modulation attempts like 'bubu', and most recently telegraphy or attempts at this type of operation. It is assumed that it involves one, at most two individuals who have been engaging in this favorite activity since early morning hours and can sustain it for hours. Several amateur radio operators have reported this ongoing problem to the competent authorities, which have oversight of frequency spectra, we have not yet received any responses or positive results. There have also been several attempts by amateur radio operators to locate the jammers, unfortunately there is currently no proper cooperation among us in this regard. The jammer or jammers evidently use high-quality and powerful equipment and full-sized antennas, which corresponds to the strength of their transmission. Will we make an effort to resolve this? One direction of the source of interference was targeted by several amateur radio operators, unfortunately all measurements were made practically in one line - B.Bystrica -Trnava. There is a lack of targeting from the side of this line, will anyone step forward?
And one more note: Jammers react with their expression mainly to prolonged debates of some radio amateurs about activities that are not related to amateur radio activities, this issue has been mentioned some time ago, unfortunately, some of us have already forgotten about it. And this is somewhat of a magnet for the activity of the aforementioned chatterers on the 80 m band. Let's please reflect on what I am writing here. Even I, who write these lines, sometimes talk on the band about things that belong in a phone call or on Skype, but I compensate for that with many years of meetings of radio amateurs atDrozdove, which I organize 🙂 and will continue to organize…

Karol, I am very glad that you wrote this here because I am also literally fed up with this helplessness that is happening on eighty in the morning.
For quite a long time, I regularly listen to the morning circle when I wake up earlier, I listen to the Czech meteorological circle and then 3756.
I don't know many people, just by their callsign and voice, but they make my mornings much more enjoyable with coffee and a cigarette.
But what has been happening there lately is no longer bearable. And some opinions are that we shouldn't pay attention to it. But I have exactly the opposite opinion, it is high time to notice it and something needs to be done about it.
I have immense respect for you, old gentlemen, and such rude interruptions of morning greetings and discussions really raises my adrenaline.
I am trying in some way to identify it, whether through local listening via RX or SDR in OE, SP, or OK. It is very difficult because you know that when it is on the band, it can also be with 5 watts and everywhere across almost all of the EU.
My opinion is that we have, I hope, a sufficiently friendly representation at TÚ (ing. Vavro) and this should be addressed as interference with telecommunications services. Subsequently, if the perpetrator is identified, there should also be exemplary punishment with a hefty fine, possibly breaking their jaw, knocking out teeth, and smashing their eggs.
I can tell you that here in Stará Turá it is not a local signal, and it is at the level of you other discussants.
It is not VHF, the level and direction are very difficult to pinpoint, and I really don't know how this could be identified and revealed.
I wish you good luck, may it succeed, and all of you, you, Vila, Dodo, Tibor and others whom I cannot remember now, may we listen for a long time and without interference.

There will be quite a problem. I am trying to write this impartially. The licensing conditions are not being followed on this frequency. If any control is carried out, they will first notice that no callsigns are given during connections, the method of communication, the subject of communication, and others, and only then will they start addressing illegal broadcasting.
The disruptor should be ignored as if they weren't there and not given reports like 'disappear, it's good for you' and so on. That's what they are waiting for.
As for the localization of this pirate, there will be a bit of a problem. It's necessary to maintain radio silence during the targeting, and those few seconds will be a huge problem for some stations. And even if some targeting could be done, according to regulations, you cannot step into their apartment. But it could be tried with radios in a fox hunt, or the ROB guys could do something for us. In the past, we helped them a lot and in fact, we saved this discipline for them.

      Hehehe!!! It's nicely written, I had a good laugh!!! 😀 😀 😀

Dusan OM3CVV is probably right. It would probably be best to ask for help from the ROB guys. They have the equipment for it and would know how to do it.

Marian, I wrote it a bit more aggressively, but accurately. Even anywhere in the park on a bench, or by a beer, if such an idiot came among the discussing friends and was annoying and dared to do this, he would definitely get a slap in the face and a kick in the ass.
And in the band in the morning in the circle, much worse curses are already falling out of nervousness and helplessness, but I don't blame anyone for blowing up.
And that various topics are debated in the circle and sometimes someone doesn't have a stopwatch on to mark it, I see that as the least problem. These guys have known each other for decades and meet there every morning, so they can't just talk about the weather and who has what antenna and radio, sometimes the topic turns, but I have never heard anything terrible or inhumane there.
And regarding the fact that the ROB guys will help us, you can all expect that HI…
I can vividly imagine how every 30 km in the grid they are positioned and targeting towards the interference map. That's a tough utopia.
ROBkari are, in my opinion, there to cover the dirty stealing of money by SZR, which the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport allocates to all of us radio amateurs every year. Specifically, for this year, 67,240 thousand Euros. Where is this money disappearing? How does SZR help us? How many new clubs are being formed? How many TRXs and antennas for clubs have been funded from this money?
For that, there could have been at least a free QSL service for everyone. But SZR shamelessly asks old pensioners for a bunch of Euros for a few tickets while squandering so many thousands, who knows where! YUCK!

I feel that Karol wants to address the consequence and not the cause in his challenge. Basically, I agree with OM3CVV. I understand that in circles it is sometimes not possible to adhere strictly and precisely to what the permitting conditions say. If someone complains about health or what troubles them, I take that into account, I am also a retiree. But if arguments start over politics or religion, that is already too much, and then Jano, Jožo, Fero, Bonifác start talking at once without a call, it irritates someone and they start doing what they do. But I certainly do not excuse him for this.we need to address the cause of this situation.

Gentlemen, I don't want to take the wind out of your sails, but as a long-time fox hunter during the still Bolshevik times (in our country, ministerial money is stolen differently than through ROB), I have participated in several such search expeditions. In all three cases, we identified the source of interference, down to the specific antenna.

      It was about
      — 1. a spoiled teenager
      — 2. misuse of the 2m band by a security agency (PCO)
      — 3. operation of the RDM line during military exercises

      Results?

ad 1) The case ended up in court, but not for unauthorized use of the radio spectrum, but for alleged threats of physical assault and alleged violation of home freedom. Thanks to a reasonable judge and the accommodating attitude of the ČTÚ staff, it ultimately faded away, but paradoxically, it threatened that we would end up being the accused.

ad 2) The antenna was located on the roof of the municipal office, handed over to the ČTÚ ... boohoo without a fine, mayoral mafia.

ad 3) Resolved on the spot because the commander of the relevant communication unit was also a radio amateur. Otherwise, they say there would be no chance.

I am afraid that even if you identify that fool, he will laugh at you over the fence and it will have cost you only time, work, gasoline, and nerves.

uhu … my personal experience with the workers at that time TUSR, I called them to cancel the local cables because the entrepreneur was tuning where he had free time He hit the FM part of the 2m band. The guys from TUSR came, checked if I had everything okay and went through, measured, counted and expressed themselves, everything as it should be impartial to anyone, everything objective. They found that he does not violate the standard but is just a bit below but still has no business being there and they recommended some changes to the device and we shook hands and left .. within a few days the cancellation disappeared so thatthey also addressed the entrepreneur ..

Palo, I didn't mean my comment as criticism, quite the opposite. I haven't had the opportunity to communicate in Slovak often, and I haven't heard something like what you wrote for more than 30 years, so it really amused me a lot, LOL 😈 😈 😈

I feel that you are very important.

I feel this: you are important and small.

I feel this: you are important. This is what I say to you all.

As for the question of disruption, I also noticed that someone was diligently operating digital mode outside the segment where it belongs. But that’s just on the side. I don't want to solve anything anymore, especially not here.
