Hello, it is currently possible to play with remote SDR for 2m installed at OM0ODB, filtered RTL-SDR V2, max 5 users.
For Windows download the 'Windows SDR Software Package' from http://airspy.com/download/ , unpack, run SDRSharp.exe, select source Spyserver, set 193.93.75.99, port 5555, hit 'play' and you play as if you had a key in your own computer, just with a better QTH Smile Antenna is a 2m part X300 connected through a splitter to OM0ODB + 2m sharp filter and BC FM reject filter. It only has <50dB dynamics and a vertical antenna, so don't expect to catch distant DX in SSB Wink
Data stream is about 1Mbps / client.
This post will be deleted if it is not current.

For an overview of what can be heard, rewrite the file frequencies.xml like this: https://sites.google.com/site/om1aeg/websdr/frequencies.xml?attRedirects=0&d=1
When scrolling through the spectrum, it will then display what kind of signal it is, and frequencies will also be added as 'presets' in 'Frequency manager'.

145.000 is the SDR key signal

SQ for FM is a suitable value of 75.

A significant SW upgrade has been performed on the server side. It allows to significantly reduce the transmitted data, for NFM and 8-bit it is now sufficient up to 30KB/s (about a third of what it was before). Full bandwidth set from 144.0 to 146.0, increased number of users to 6.
      More info: https://www.rtl-SDR.com/spyserver-updated-very-efficient-network-usage-with-8-bit-pcm-mode/

For correct functionality, it is necessary to use the latest SDR Sharp.
In new versions, the window for connecting to the 'Spy Server' has changed, you need to enter 'sdr://193.93.75.99:5555'.

Hi, is there a Linux client for this?

They are cooking something for Android, but the info is missing, just a video on YouTube. They are probably waiting for the availability of the Airspy HF+ key.

Besides the 'native' SDR Sharp (SDR #) from the author, there is support in 'SDR-Console' (V3 from preview 6, http://www.SDR-radio.com), but that's also win.

For Linux, there is hope in the implementation into gqrx, the website states 'Spyserver interface not yet supported'.

      Aha.
Thanks, then I'm not interested, I won't install Windows somewhere because of that, without which I've happily lived for over 20 years.

      om1aeg,

Thanks for the info. The upgrade helped significantly, it runs much faster now and overall works better. I will definitely use it when I tinker with some things on 2m.

      Good job, thumbs up 🙂

      ok1uhu:

      According to posts on https://www.rtl-SDR.com/rtl-SDR-tutorial-setting-up-and-using-the-spyserver-remote-streaming-server-with-an-rtl-SDR/

SDR Sharp should run in MONO.

There is also a procedure for gqrx-sdr.

Try it, let me know 🙂

AEG: So sdrsharp crashes hopelessly under wine right after starting. I don't have time to deal with Jehovah's Witness images right now, but I don't see it very promising ...
