It is with deep sadness that we received the news of the death of our colleague and friend Viliam Jánoš OM3CAQ, who left us at age 69 years, just a short time before his own 70. birthday.

Viliam was a long-time and respected member of OTC SARA under no 270 and at the same time served as chairman of the club after Miloš OM3AA. With his self-sacrificing work, with his willingness to help and passion for amateur radio, he gained recognition and respect not only among the members of our club, but also among the wider radio amateur community.

His enthusiasm for technology, precision and kind attitude left an indelible mark on everyone, who knew him. He was not only an exceptional expert, but also human, whose friendly smile and good humor could cheer up every meeting. We exchanged dozens of emails with technical and operational inspirations. Vilo had a great outlook in KV as well VHF techniques and a lot of experience. We've been managing the table for over a decade YL DXCC. As a curiosity, Vilo also shared with listom SQ9CAQ.

The farewell to the deceased will take place on Monday 20. January 2025 O 14:30 throw. in the House of Mourning at the Bernolákov cemetery. At this moment, we are saying goodbye to a person, who will be greatly missed by all of us, but his memory will remain forever in our hearts.
