VHF operating assets a little different

As one regular in my hometown Ústí nad Labem once said, “we can sit here for a long time, but one day I'll have to get up anyway”. By discussing a special category for class N (OK9) and operators with QRP equipment, as well as the support of telegraphy on the bands and another method of VKV PA scoring, there was a whole lot. So now it's time to try it all out. For OK amateurs, starting Sunday, there will actually be three VKV operating assets at the same time. 1. VKV Operational asset, which is announced by the ČRK, does not change. The evaluator is OK1KPA. 2. So called “QRP” operating asset category has the same rules as “original” VKV PA, with little difference, that MULTI and SINGLE categories are not distinguished. The maximum power of the transmitter is 10 watts. The evaluator is OK4RM, with the kind support of OK1KPA. Reports are accepted via the OK1KPA web form, if you fill in a new field “QRP” = AGAIN, a copy of your OK4RM report will be sent automatically. In fact, this is only a separate evaluation of stations with low power, who wish to compete with their equals. 3. Telegraph VHF operational assets is a separate race at the same time and with the same competition code as the classic VKV PA. It is also evaluated by OK4RM. The differences are as follows:

1. They compete in a single category, without band and power resolution.
2. The only type of operation is CW.
3. Connections are made only to 144 a 432 MHz.
4. Scoring is based on kilometers of distance, they are not multipliers.
5. Not only a report is sent, but (optional) and the EDI diary.
6. Due to significant differences, this race has a separate web form.
7. A material prize will be prepared for the year-round winner.

And why am I actually writing this information on a Slovak website, when it concerns only OK stations? Inner, if the hypotheses expressed in the discussions are confirmed, that under these conditions the attractiveness of the VKV Operating Asset will increase, it will be nice on VKV bands on Sunday “packed”, whatever motive the participating stations may have for participating. Everyone connects with everyone, and that's the magic of this bag – everyone will benefit from it. And if it doesn't work out? Nothing will happen, I will have less work to do with it, VKV PA will continue as always and my children will be happy, that dad doesn't just sit at the computer all the time. 🙂 Let it turn out the way it wants, the result will always be positive.
