A look at the diagram will immediately reveal the funnyness of this solution - switching the routing method. In one position of the switch, the diodes are connected as a full-wave bridge rectifier, in the other a regular Graetz rectifier. I do not specify the parameters of the components, each designer determines them according to his requirements.
