An international team of ten radio amateurs from Portugal, Spain, and Germany is preparing to carry out an extensive DX expedition to Angola under the call sign D2A on schedule from 17th to 28th October 2025The expedition represents a significant contribution to the global amateur radio community, as Angola is among the less active areas in DX operation.
The operator team consists of experienced DX expeditioners: EC7R Fran, CT1BOL Jorge, D2ACE Vasco, EC1T Carlos, EA1ACP Jose, D2XX Eddy, CT2GFW Jose, CT7APD Federico, CT1FFU Matias, and Helder CS7BHA. Each member brings rich experience from previous expeditions and specialization in various operations.
The technical equipment will consist of six full stations equipped with ICOM IC-7300 transceivers, EXPERT 1.3 kW amplifiers, HF-62, and satellite technology. The stations will cover all main bands from 6m to 160m in CW, SSB, Radio TeletypeaFT8, using the SPLIT mode of operation. For digital modes, the MSHV software with support for 2-6 slots will be available.
