On Sunday, September 11, 2016, the telegraph part of the hour race took place OTC SARA Memorial. This traditional race is one of the important events of the Slovak radio amateur community, while it is dedicated to the memory of deceased members Old Timer Club of Slovak Amateur Radio (OTC SARA). The autumn part, which takes place in the form of a telegraph (CW) race, attracted many fans of telegraphy and sports competition on the bands this year as well.

This year it was involved approximately 20 stations, while diaries were sent by 16 contestants. The organizers noted good participation and a fair competitive atmosphere. The signal propagation conditions were favorable on this day, which made it possible to establish interesting connections. The evaluation took into account not only the number of connections made and points earned, but also the connection time with the club station OM9OT, which was decisive in the tie of points.
The results showed a balanced course of the race. They took the first two places with the same number of points OM8AQ a OK2NO, while the final order was decided by the connection time with the club station. They were on the third and fourth place with a small distance OM3WZ a OM8CW, who scored 46 points each. The following ranks were mostly owned by OTC SARA members, which shows the active involvement of this community in the race.
