Icom introduced the new model IC-7300MK2, HF / 50 / (70*) MHz transceiver, at the international amateur fair JARL Ham Fair 2025, which took place on 23rd-24th August 2025. The first units are expected on the market by the end of 2025.
Note: The version intended for Europe additionally supports the 70 MHz band.

Advanced technical parameters and improvements
Better reception and transmission - Improved RMDR (Reciprocal Mixing Dynamic Range) and phase noise contribute to reducing signal blocking in close proximity, resulting in cleaner and more distinct reception
- DX hunters and contesters will appreciate the reduced power consumption in standby mode (by approximately 23%), leading to lower heat generation -DX-levci and contestants will appreciate the reduced collection when receiving on standby mode (by approximately 23 %), which also leads to lower heat production
For the first time in Icom's history KV TCVR

HDMI™ port - a completely new feature among Icom's HF models. It allows connection of a large screen for displaying the spectral range, waterfall, and settings
- allows decoding Morse codes directly in the transceiver, without the need for a PC - Allows you to decrypt marine (Morse) codes directly in the radio, without the need for PC
Other interesting features
- allows connection of a separate receiving antenna, filtering, or preamplifier for higher reception performance - Allows you to connect a separate receiving antenna, filtration or preamplifier for higher reception
- ideal for concurrent mode, FT8, and logging - Ideal for the current regime FT8 and logging
- enables easy remote control using RS-BA1 software without the need for a server PC -Easy remote control using RS-BA1 software without the need for a server PC
Support for 5 MHz band (Europe version) - responds to new spectrum allocated for amateur use
Who is the IC-7300MK2 intended for?
This model is ideal for serious operators, especially:
DX man - thanks to significantly improved RMDR and low phase noise;
CW enthusiasts - CW decoder without the need for a computer simplifies operation;
those who work remotely - easy connection via LAN without a PC server;
those who want modern interfaces - HDMI connection, USB-C, advanced connections.
Conclusion
IC-7300MK2 continues the successful tradition of the IC-7300 model, which has sold over 100,000 units. It excels in modern technical enhancements, ergonomic innovations, and expanded connectivity, meeting the needs of today's radio enthusiasts.
