Dear radio amateurs and enthusiasts QRP,
we cordially invite you to Winter QRP contest on VHF, which will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 09:00 UTC. This traditional winter race is intended for all who enjoy challenges, honest operation with low power, and the true field atmosphere of VHF bands.

This year's novelty is support free online systému MOONlog, which significantly facilitates the preparation of the log. Just click on the relevant link and MOONlog it will automatically fill in the basic header of the log for you. Of course, it remains your obligation to add other data such as power, antenna, height of the station, and so on.

Basic information about the race
The contest is announced by CAV - Czechoslovak amateur radio operators and it is about international contest, in which stations from all countries can participate. It takes place every Sunday of the first full weekend in February.
Contest bands and times
432 MHz: 09:00 - 11:00 UTC
144 MHz: 11:00 - 13:00 UTC
Types of operation
Allowed are CW and phone, in accordance with licensing conditions and recommendations IARU Region 1 for the distribution of types of operation in the bands.
Important conditions
The maximum transmitter power is 10 W.
Powering all devices (TRCVR, rotator, PC, etc.) is allowed only from chemical sources (batteries, accumulators), which can be charged during the contest exclusively from solar cells, Peltier cells, or mechanical sources powered by human power.
The station must not be changed during the race and all equipment must be placed in a circle with a maximum diameter of 500 meters.
Antennas can be set up no earlier than on Friday before the race.
Connections via transceivers, EME, cross-band or satellites are included in the evaluation not counted.

Contest code and scoring
Contest code consists of RS or RST,serial number of the connection (from 001 on each band) and WW locator.
Scoring is simple and fair:
1 point for every kilometer distance between stations,
connection in the same locator is worth 1 point.
Each band is evaluated separately as well total sum of points from both bands. The first three stations on each band and in the overall ranking will receive diploma.
Logbook and evaluation
The logbook can be sent electronically (EDI - REG1TEST) or in paper form (photocopy or scan). The deadline for sending is no later than 10 days after the end of the race.
