Invitation to the Winter QRP contest on VHF 2026

Dear radio amateurs and enthusiasts QRP,

srdečne vás pozývame na Zimní QRP závod na VKV, ktorý sa uskutoční on Sunday, February 8, 2026, from 09:00 UTC. Tento tradičný zimný pretek je určený všetkým, ktorí majú radi výzvy, poctivú prevádzku s nízkym výkonom a pravú terénnu atmosféru VKV pásiem.

Novinka: online denník MOONlog

This year's novelty is support free online systému MOONlog, which significantly facilitates the preparation of the log. Just click on the relevant link and MOONlog it will automatically fill in the basic header of the log for you. Of course, it remains your obligation to add other data such as power, antenna, height of the station, and so on.

Basic information about the race

Závod vyhlasuje CAV - Czechoslovak amateur radio operators a ide o medzinárodný pretek, do ktorého sa môžu zapojiť stanice zo všetkých krajín. Koná sa vždy v nedeľu prvého celého víkendu vo februári.

Contest bands and times

• 432 MHz: 09:00 – 11:00 UTC

• 144 MHz: 11:00 – 13:00 UTC

Types of operation

Povolené sú CW a fone, v súlade s povoľovacími podmienkami a odporúčaniami IARU Región 1 for the distribution of types of operation in the bands.

Important conditions

• The maximum transmitter power is 10 W.

• Napájanie všetkých zariadení (TCVR, rotátor, PC atď.) je povolené len z chemických zdrojov (batteries, accumulators), which can be charged during the contest exclusively from solar cells, Peltier cells, or mechanical sources powered by human power.

• The station must not be changed during the race and all equipment must be placed in a circle with a maximum diameter of 500 metrov.

• Antennas can be set up no earlier than v piatok pred závodom.

• Connections via transceivers, EME, cross-band alebo satelity sa do hodnotenia nezapočítavajú.

Contest code and scoring

Contest code consists of RS alebo RST, poradového čísla spojenia (od 001 na každom pásme) a WW lokátora.
Scoring is simple and fair:

• 1 bod za každý kilometer distance between stations,

• connection in the same locator is worth 1 bod.

Each band is evaluated separately as well celkový súčet bodov z oboch pásiem. Prvé tri stanice na každom pásme a v celkovom poradí získajú diplom.

Logbook and evaluation

Denník je možné zaslať elektronicky (EDI – REG1TEST) or in paper form (photocopy or scan). The deadline for sending is najneskôr do 10 dní po skončení závodu.
