Leonidy 2004

Unfortunately, the meteor swarm reached its peak a few years ago, but according to some predictions, it will still be quite decent. The swarm consists mainly of larger particles moving at speed 71 km/s.

Aktivita Leoníd je od 14. do 21.novembra 2004, pričom ZHR by malo presiahnuť v maxime 50. To podľa posledných predpovedí môžeme očakávať 19.novembra okolo 21.49 OUT (Vaubaillon), ale aj najznámejšie meteorické roje vedia kedykoľvek prekvapiť.

Mimo maxima je očakávaná frekvencia asi 10 meteoritov za hodinu.
