Marconi Memorial A1 contest 2010 – výsledky

In the Single, High Power (>100 W) category, the OM5ZW station from the JN88XO locator won with a power of 700 W and a set of antennas 4×7 el. and 2×13 el. In total, he achieved 332 connections and earned 104,665 points. OM3CWY finished in second place with a power of 600 W and an excellent average of 349 points per QSO, followed by OM8MF, which scored 58,784 points with 230 W. OM2RL, OM3FW, OM0WR and OM5MX were among the successful ones, while their ODX connections reached distances of up to 886 km (DJ2NJ).

The Single, Low Power (≤100 W) category was dominated by OM5X, which with 100 W and 10-element antenna scored 64,674 points for 206 QSOs. OM5KV and OM5LD followed, confirming that even with lower power, excellent results can be achieved if good tactics and an efficient antenna are combined. Interestingly, several participants from this category used only 50 W power and achieved ODX connections of over 700 km, which indicates very favorable propagation conditions during the competition.

The strongest competition traditionally prevailed in the Multi category, where the station won OM8A from the JN87WV locator with a gain of 167,257 points and up to 448 valid connections. It was closely followed by OM6A (165,354 points) and OM3W (150,984 points). These stations used outputs of 2.5 to 3.6 kW and extensive antenna systems with multiple directions - evidence of serious technical preparation.
