Tradičný Marconi Memorial contest aj v roku 2004 prilákal množstvo slovenských účastníkov, ktorí svoje schopnosti preverili na pásme 144 MHz. Súťaž bola rozdelená do dvoch hlavných kategórií – single operátor a multi operátor – a priniesla vyrovnané výkony s viacerými zaujímavými výsledkami.
In the 144 MHz, Single category, OM2VL won the championship, which confirmed its technical and operator readiness with 353 connections and a total score of 121,625 points. The second place belongs to OM3TZQ with 260 QSO and over 80,000 points, while its longest connection was to Italy at a distance of 963 km. OM8MF took third place with almost 52 thousand points and 179 connections. OM7CA and OM5AL made their way into the top five, confirming stable performances in this category.
In the 144 MHz, Multi category, the fight was even more balanced. Team OM3KEE won with a score of 134,210 points and 401 connections, just ahead of OM3W, who were less than 2,000 points behind. Third place went to OM3KII with over 125,000 points. In the strong competition, the OM5M, OM0C and OM5R teams also came to the fore, confirming the high level of collective work.
