In the Bratislava area and now also throughout Slovakia, activities around the MeshCore IoT network are developing (as well as a better alternative to the once popular MeshTastic technology). An overview of all necessary information can be found on the website https://mesh.om3kff.sk, where details about the frequencies and parameters used, recommended hardware, How-To guides, FAQs, and contacts are published. The pages are regularly updated to serve as a central place for anyone who wants to join the network.

MeshCore is not a project of just one radio club - it is an open initiative for all radio amateurs in Slovakia, including those without a license, of which there are many. The goal is to create a common infrastructure that will provide an 'all-in-one' source of information and support the community in building modern experimental networks.
The basis of the MeshCore network is LoRa 868, which operates in the unlicensed ISM band around 868 MHz. This means that the network can be used by everyone - radio amateurs and ordinary enthusiasts of IoT or crisis communication. This approach allows people to connect across communities and expand the network's reach without administrative limitations.
