New conditions of the Easter race

  • These conditions apply from January 1 2007 for the Easter race (hereinafter referred to as the main plant) and Easter race for children (hereinafter referred to as the children's race), announced by the Tanvald Radio Club.
  • The race is always held every Easter Sunday, a to od 8.00-14.00 UTC main race, and follows it from 14.00-15.00 UTC Easter children's race. Per year 2007 that will be April 8.
  • Connections with non-competing stations are also valid, which, however, are required to transmit the entire competition code, including the serial number.
  • Determination of the plant:
    1. 144 MHz SO
    2. 144 MHz MO
    3. 432 MHz SO
    4. 432 MHz MO
    5. 1.3 GHz SO
    6. 1.3 GHz MO
    7. 2.3 GHz SO
    8. 2.3 GHz MO
    9. 3.4 GHz SO
    10. 3.4 Ghz MO
    11. 5.7 GHz SO
    12. 5.7 GHz MO
    13. 10 GHz SO
    14. 10 GHz MO
    15. 24 GHz SO
    16. 24 GHz MO
    17. 47 GHz SO
    18. 47 GHz MO
    19. 76 GHz SO
    20. 76 GHz MO

SO (SINGLE ON) – a station manned by an individual without any outside assistance during the race. External assistance during the race means own operation of the transmitting and receiving equipment, antenna routing, logbook and station overview, with which it was worked, device operator for access to the PR network.

MO (MULTI OP) – other stations

Types of operation: CW and fone according to permit conditions, while it is necessary to follow the recommendations of the I. IARU Region for various types of operation in the frequency sections of amateur radio bands.

All station equipment must be located on the area with the maximum diameter 500 meters. The station station must not be changed during the race.

  • Use of DX Cluster and so on. is not limited.
  • Each station may only have one signal on one band at any given time, taking signal(Y) necessary to connect to the packet radio network are not considered.
  • Multiple stations may broadcast from one station, it depends on the agreement between them.
  • The output of the final stage of the transmitter must be in accordance with the permit conditions, unless the conditions of the race stipulate otherwise. The maximum power applies to the children's race 10 watts.
  • EME connection, cross-band and ground or space converters do not count towards the races.
  • Only one valid connection can be counted with each station in the race on each competition zone, in which the complete competition code was handed over and confirmed by both stations. Repeated connections must be marked in the log (RPT, DUPE apod.) with a point value 0.
  • Competition code consists of RS or RST, connection serial number and WW-locator. The serial number of the connection must start with a number on each band 001. Full code including serial number of the connection from 001 non-competing stations also pass on, which do not want to be evaluated. Three zeros – 000 – they are not a proper serial number and the connection will be marked as invalid by the evaluator. Station, which do not want to be evaluated, does not have to send a diary!
  • Scoring: One point counts for each kilometer of bridging distance between the two stations. The point value of the connection in the competition diary must be given as an integer. A connection in the same WW-locator is counted 1 that. According to the recommendation of the I. IARU Region, a coefficient should be used 111,2 to convert degrees to kilometers, taking into account the curvature of the Earth. The WGS-84 system is used to determine the latitude and longitude of the competition site for the locator calculation (World geodetic system 1984).
  • Competition diary can only be sent to the evaluator in electronic form.Yaesu FT-817 and LDG Z11 form a nice pair, you don't think so?
  • The electronic log must be in EDI format (REG1TEST), designated as a standard format for the evaluation of plants within Region I. IARU. The diary in another format will not be accepted and the station will not be evaluated in the race.
  • The diary must be separate for each competition zone.
  • The race log must be sent to the evaluator's address no later than the tenth day after the race.
  • The connection is invalid, if the station has a diary:
    • any error in the received code ie. in the brand, report, the serial number of the connection or locator
    • if the connection time difference is greater than 10 minutes against the correct UTC time.
  • For a repeated and counted connection, the controlled station will be charged ten times the point value of the counted repeated connection.
  • The station will not be evaluated in the race:
    • for non-compliance with competition or permit conditions
    • for more than 10 % miscalculated distances
    • for false or incorrect data entered in the competition diary
    • for unsportsmanlike behavior in the race.
  • Prices:

The main race:Devices (TR-751E and home made source + PA)

    • Big easter egg
      • for a record number of points, means the sum of all bands in which the station competed.
    • Little easter egg
      • for the first three places in the SO and MO categories if the category is evaluated at least 15 stations
      • for first place if it is rated at least in the given category 5 stations
      • for the best foreign station working outside the territory of OK
      • for the best NOVICE station. It is necessary to enter NOVICE in the field in the electronic journal [It is necessary to enter NEWS in the electronic diary in the field].

    Children race:

    • little easter egg – for the first three places in absolute order, after adding up the points from all bands in which the station competed. Only operators will be evaluated in this race, who do not reach the age of majority on the day of the race 18 let. The date of birth of the operators must be indicated, in the electronic journal to the field [It is necessary to enter NEWS in the electronic diary in the field].
  • The evaluator's decision is final.
  • Send the diaries to the address:
ok1kkt@mrakota.cz or from OK1KKT pages at http://Mrabot.cz/ok1kkt in the Easter Race section.
