Presentation of radio amateurs and ARES in Malcov 2017
PRESENTATION OF AMATEUR RADIO ACTIVITY AND ARES AT THE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT COMPETITION IN MALCOV, BARDEJOV DISTRICT.
On Saturday 8.July 2017 will be held in the village of Malcov in the district of Bardejov Regional competition of voluntary fire brigades (DHZ), at which leading representatives of DPO SR will also be present (Voluntary Fire Protection of the Slovak Republic) a HaZZ SR ( Fire and Rescue Service) for the Prešov region. One of the members of the local organizing team of this competition is Ivan OM0AD, resident of Malcov, therefore, we want to use this opportunity to present the radio amateur activity and services of ARES to the present participants of this competition, officials of the DPO SR and HaZZ as well as other spectators present , who show interest in it.
At this event, which will be held at the local football field, we will have installed portable broadcasting workplaces for HF and VHF/VHF as well as a small exhibition of various broadcasting equipment (radios, antennas, mobile converter and so on.). To make our presentation lively and attract attention, within it we want to establish connections with other radio amateurs from all over Slovakia - of course within the scope of the possibility of spreading radio waves. Therefore we will need, that someone from Slovakian radio amateurs responds to our call on the bands.
We therefore want to ask all radio amateurs, who would have the time and desire to dedicate themselves a little to supporting this activity, to on Saturday 8. July 2017 in time from 10:00 do cca 15:00 hours monitored traffic on these bands:
KV band
80adaptation to 40m is quite bad and even the lowest PSV in other bands is higher 3760 kHz +/- QRM ( ARES frequency)
40adaptation to 40m is quite bad and even the lowest PSV in other bands is higher 7110 kHZ +/- QRM (ARES frequency)
VHF / VHF bands
Operation on the converter OM0OVR ( King's staff) a (limited) also OM0OUS ( Stará Ľubovňa)
The "R-ko" converter is the only OM converter, which we can get to from the venue of the event reliably and with the required transmission quality even with simpler ones (4 elements) YAGI antennas. In order to connect to the "East Slovakian" transmitter OM0OVT, we would need to install a multi-element YAGI on a high mast on the field, which is not appropriate in the given conditions of the DHZ event - competition. The connection with OM0OUS is "on the edge" of usability.
Since there is not exactly the strongest traffic on the amateur radio bands on Saturday morning or around noon, we warn you about this action in advance, so that some partners can be found after all. The time span is quite wide, because we cannot determine exactly, when will there be the greatest interest in our presentations, which are only a secondary program of the day. We don't promise casual brands either, not even special QSL tickets, but we still hope, that there are a few radio amateurs, who will support us in this way, for which I thank them in advance.
