TCVR

A transceiver (TCVR) is a radio that shares common circuitry for receiving and transmitting. In the early days of amateur radio, the receiver and transmitter were separate devices that were operated completely independently. That was not very practical. By combining them into a single unit, a transceiver was created.

Typickými obvodmi transceivera sú zosilňovače, medzifrekvenčné obvody, filtre a oscilátory. Mnohí rádioamatéri – konštruktéri – si transceiver aj v dnešnej dobe postavia svojpomocne. Iní dajú prednosť komerčnej ponuke firiem ako sú Yaesu, Kenwood, Xiegu, Icom, Baofeng, Alinco a Other.
