The first stage of the SLP 2010 competition, which took place during the weekend of January 30-31, 2010, brought an exciting showdown between listeners from several countries. This time too, it turned out that interest in SWL the race is still alive, and famous names from the Netherlands, Russia, Slovakia, Germany, Belgium, Ukraine and the United States have participated in the competition.
Vladimir R3A-847, who achieved a great result of 14,508 points, confirmed his long-term form. Second place belongs to Jozef OM3-0001 with a score of 9,246 points, who represented Slovakia and once again showed his experience in this discipline. Third place went to Johan NL9723 with 7,866 points, followed by Bill W1-7897 from the United States with 7,107 points.
In the strong competition, other participants – Hans NL7403, Jan NL6828, Paul ONL3058 and Thomas DE0DDR – held up well. Rachèl NL13498, who is one of the stalwarts of the women's SWL field, and Marc ONL4638, who completes the top ten, also defended their place in the rankings.
The list of results is completed by Ad NL9745 and Igor USF-007, who, although they won fewer points, contributed to the overall international atmosphere of the competition with their participation.
The first stage thus indicated that the year 2010 will also be marked by high-quality performances and friendly rivalry between experienced listeners.
