I received the following email from Roman OM3EI, as the new president of SZR. This is very encouraging news:
Hi Vila,
I am responding to your petition. I just want to tell you that this Tuesday we had a meeting with Ing. Kováčová from the Slovak Technical University, where we presented her with a proposal for the SZR to modify the permit conditions. According to this proposal, there should be two classes, A and N, and neither will require CW knowledge. TU SR agrees with these changes. Permits will be changed in this sense, but that is already the work of the Telecommunications Office. The regulation has to go through the legislative process, so it won't happen tomorrow. We already talked about these activities of the SZR at the meeting in the Tatras. The petition is therefore out of date from this point of view, as it asks for something that all interested parties agree to and the process of changing permits is already underway.
