Some time ago, Garry ZD7GWM launched a beacon on 144.475 MHz with 20W CW on the island of St. Helena. Since the IH74DB locator from which this beacon transmits is far from everywhere, practically every hearing report is breathtaking. The last message is from Jean-François, F0FYF, who picked up the beacon while retuning the band and hunting the beacon signals. It uses a 2 x 9 element plus antenna preamplifier.
