Connecting a radio station to a computer brings several advantages. In the case of professional radio stations, this is a necessity if we need to change the radio station settings. We used the described programmer when setting up the ICOM IC F11, which is just such a type of radio station. It must be said that this radio station does not have much to offer. However, the parameters, the operating software and, finally, the properties themselves in operation claim something different.
The programmer connects from the side with a 3.5" jack connector, using only two terminals - GND and program (the middle ring, not the tip of the connector). The computer must be equipped with a COM serial port, otherwise a USB to COM converter is required.

Connection is very simple, it is actually a voltage converter. The power supply is from the COM port. When connected correctly, it works the first time it is connected. You can download software for ICOM IC F11 .: HERE :.
