I. GOAL
For amateurs worldwide to contact other amateurs in as many US states, Canadian provinces and countries as possible using the 160 meter band.
II. BAND USE
1 810–2 000 kHz in ITU Region 1. 1800–2000 kHz in ITU Regions 2 and 3. All participants are encouraged to use the available bandwidth while respecting the frequency restrictions and power limits for their own country. Any violation of the use of the ITU band may result in disqualification.
III. CATEGORIES
For category only Single Operator Assisted: it is allowed to use one remote receiver located within 100 kilometers from the main transmitter location, except for the receiver at the transmitter location. WebSDR are accepted but must be within the 100 kilometer limit. The rule is designed to accommodate new technologies and those with high noise levels at the broadcast location. Anyone found to be exceeding the limit using a remote receiver will be disqualified.
For all categories: The main workplace is defined as all transmitters, receivers and antennas must be located on the same property. If the land is not contiguous, all equipment must be within a radius of 1500 meters. All antennas must be connected by power supplies to the main station. This rule applies to all participants.
Only ONE CQ operating frequency is allowed for each station. "Flip Flopping" between 2 frequencies in the same time period (thus using 2 frequencies) is unsportsmanlike and will result in disqualification.
The use of so-called "chat rooms" via the Internet or similar means of communication between stations or operators during the period of the competition is strictly prohibited.
Do not secure or confirm connections by any means other than using the 160 meter band and the same mode as used in the contest. Any such use may result in disqualification at the discretion of the Committee. The use of self-observation is not allowed in any category.

remote station for the UNASSISTED category is allowed under the following conditions:
- The use of any receiver located outside the main site is strictly prohibited.
- The use of a separate receiver at the remote control location is prohibited.
- Any receiver connected via Internet or RF that is not physically located on the main site is strictly prohibited.
- Ak je Remote station umiestnená v inej entite DXCC, all local laws must be followed.
Operating time: CQ World Wide 160-Meter contest má dĺžku 48 hodín a začína o 2200Z. Stanice they can only work with one operator 30 out of 48 hours. The station with multiple operators they can work for 40 hours. Inactivity time must be at least 30 minutes for all categories.
(A) Jeden operátor: Jedna osoba vykonáva všetky prevádzkové, logovacie a spotovacie funkcie. Maximálna Operating time je 30 hodín. Pomoc s vyhľadávaním QSO * is NOT allowed (see definition below). Only one broadcast signal is allowed at any time. The maximum power is a total power of 1500 W.
(B) Single Operator / Low Power: Same as (A), except that the output power must not exceed 100 watts. Stations in this category compete only with other low-energy stations.
(C) QRP: Same as (A) except that the output power must not exceed 5 watts. Stations in this category compete only with other QRP stations. Note: All QRP stations can use QSOs when searching for help.
(D) Single Operator / High Power: Same as (A) with the following exceptions: QSOs are permitted to search for help. The use of one and only one remote receiver within 100 kilometers of the transmitter location is permitted.
(E) Single operator / low power: Same as (D) with the following exceptions: Power output must not exceed 100 watts.
(F) Multi-Operator: HIGH PERFORMANCE ONLY. All rules apply as in Single Op Assisted (except remote receivers - NOT allowed); however, more than one operator (person) is involved in the operation. The maximum operating time is 40 hours. Only one broadcast signal is allowed at any time. The maximum power is 1500W total power or the output power allowed in your country, whichever is lower.
* QSO search assistance: this is the use of any technology or other resource providing the operator with a call sign or signal multiplier identification. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of a CW decoder, DX cluster, DX spotting websites (eg DX Summit), local or remote call sign and frequency decoding technology (eg CW skimmer or Reverse Beacon Network), or operating arrangements relating to other individuals.

IV. EXCHANGED CODE

XI. SANCTIONS AND DISQUALIFICATION
Logs will be cross-checked and score deductions will be made at the evaluator's discretion for contacts deemed incorrect or inappropriate. Bad connections are removed and the score deduction is also applied in the next two connections in the form of a point deduction. No penalty should be imposed for unique connections unless it is considered disproportionate. The diary may be discarded and the contestant disqualified due to violations of the regulations on amateur radio broadcasting, unsportsmanlike conduct or on the basis of an excessive amount of unverified contacts.
Log cross-check outputs showing final score calculations will be available to all participants after the results are published. The decisions of the CQ WW 160 Competition Committee are final.
