It belongs every year CQ World Wide DX contest medzi najprestížnejšie medzinárodné rádioamatérske súťaže, ktoré spájajú nadšencov HF prevádzky z celého sveta. Tento rok sa súťaž uskutoční v dvoch častiach: SSB 24.–25. October a CW 28–29. November, with each race starting exactly at 00:00 UTC on Saturday and ends 23:59:59 UTC on Sunday.
The goal of the competition is to create as many connections as possible with as many CQ zones and countries as possible, while each participant can demonstrate their skills in operations, tactics and technique.

Competition bands and codes
CQ WW DX contest je obmedzený na six KV bands:
- 1.8 MHz
- 3.5 MHz
- 7 MHz
- 14 MHz
- 21 MHz
- 28 MHz
It is it is necessary to strictly follow the frequency plans for individual bands to avoid interference.
Each QSO is recorded with a specific competition code:
- SSB: RS + CQ zone (eg 59 05)
- CW: RST + CQ zone (e.g. 599 05)

Scoring
The result is calculated as multiple of the total number of points for the QSO times the sum of the zones and countries.
Points for QSOs
- Connections between stations on different continents: 3 points
- Connection on the same continent but in different countries: 1 point (North American exception: 2 points)
- Connection within one country: 0 points, but it still counts as a zone or country multiplier
Multipliers
- Zone: Each CQ zone on each band is counted separately
- Country: Each one DXCC country or special WAE country is counted separately. /MM stations count only as a zone multiplier
Competitive categories

- Single Operator: A single operator operates the station, no assistance allowed
