New Icom IC-7000

Due to the success of the IC-706MKIIG, ICOM announced its successor: IC-7000. It will go on sale for the first time in the second quarter 2005.

The picture shows the biggest change – 5cm color display. Compared to its predecessor, it has:

• built-in DSP as standard (twin PBT a NR)
• about 35W at 70cm
• 5cm TFT color display
• high frequency stability (0,5 ppm)
• to 508 memory
• multiple ways to scan
• built-in voice recorder and clock
• completely redesigned front panel way “large” transceiverov
• smooth or step-rotate tuning knob
• device body shorter o 20 mm oproti IC-706
• big, backlit buttons
• the supplied microphone has 10 transceriver control buttons
• removable front panel

Other parameters should be identical to IC-706MKIIG, but we will have to wait a while for the exact specification.
