According to the picture, you can see the biggest change – a color 5cm display. Compared to its predecessor, it has:
- built in as standard DSP (twin PBT and NR)
- approximately 35W at 70cm
- 5cm TFT color display
- high frequency stability (0.5 ppm)
- up to 508 memories
- multiple scanning methods
- built-in voice recorder and clock
- completely redesigned front panel in the manner of "big" transceivers
- smooth or step-rotating tuning knob
- device body shorter by 20 mm compared to IC-706
- large, backlit buttons
- the supplied microphone has 10 buttons for controlling the transceiver
- removable front panel
Other parameters should be identical to the IC-706MKIIG, but we will have to wait a while for the exact specification.
