I bought 9 el on Thursday. Cue Dee on 144MHz - I wanted to make a turn signal myself, but due to time constraints and mainly lack of material, I chose a simpler form. On Friday, the antenna was already installed (fixed direction - no rotator).
Day D has arrived - Saturday, 1st subregional race.
My devices for operation were:
TRX = TXR 210 (Snowman)
PWR = 10W (at that length of coax + ANT it was not 100% adapted, it was probably only QRPP...)
ANT = 9el.Cue Dee - powered by 50 ohm coax - approx. 30m from the roof to the Ham shack
Here and there I climbed on the roof to turn the ANT... of course, with a rotator it would be a different matter, because I couldn't turn it in all directions this way (no need to unnecessarily irritate the neighbors). Since I didn't have a CW key to plug into the TRX, I only worked SSB.
Here are my results: Count QSO on SSB = 78
Distribution:
OM = 45 QSOs, longest QSO with OM6AM = 104 km
OK = 18 QSOs, longest QSO with OK2CRT = 250 km
OE = 8 QSOs, longest QSO with OE5D = 353 km
HA = 3 QSOs, longest QSO with HA6KVC/P = 144 km
S5 = 2 QSOs, longest QSO with S53J = 386 km
DL = 1 QSO, najdlhšie QSO s DL0AO = 468 km *moje najdlhšie QSO v conteste*
SQ = 1 QSO, SQ9ACK = 196 km
A lot of stations complained about the small participation of stations in the sub-regional, but I can't judge it so objectively, because I have not participated in this race before.
I wish everyone much success in their amateur activities and, above all, a lot of fun on the radio.
Sincerely, OM5APM – Peter, Nitra
