JARL, via Minea Wakitu, JE9PEL, advised that it plans to turn the transponder on the FO-29 satellite back on. The problem with this satellite is low voltage, which results in the transponder being turned off by the UVC (Under Voltage Control) module. The management team starts the transponder on January 16 and will turn it on again as needed according to the following schedule:
Jan. UTC
16 21:00-
22 22:33-
24 10:35-
29 21:25-
31 09:30-
Feb. UTC
5 22:00-
7 10:00-
11 11:40-
12 20:53-
14 10:40-
The principle of using adequate powers necessary for the connection applies. Using excessive power may cause the FO-29 transponder to shut down.
