Upcoming satellite Delfi C-3

Front view of antennasA group of students from the University of Delft designed the Delfi C-3 satellite, which should be launched into orbit in March 2008. For the first three months, the satellite will transmit only telemetry data, but then the transponder will be on. It will be linear, t.j. CW/SSB.

Here are the transponder frequencies:

  • Main telemetry frequency: 145.870 MHz 1200 Baud BPSK AX.25 400mW
  • Backup telemetry frequency: 145.930 MHz 1200 Baud BPSK AX.25 400mW
  • Downlink from the transponder: 145.880 – 145.920 MHz (inverting) 400mW PEP
  • Uplink to transponder: 435.570 – 435.530 MHz
  • kHz with a power of 5W: 145.870 MHz CW (10dB below the PEP of the transponder)
