Share experiences, observations, problems or knowledge about the properties of devices, antennas or QTH is always inspiring for those who want to constantly improve. That's why I'm happy to share my experience from IARU I. Region HF Field Day CW, which may bring new knowledge or inspiration to someone.

Due to work and personal obligations and also because of the solution TVI problem in my QTH I had all the antennas stored in the attic. The idea of fully participating in the race seemed unrealistic. Desire try yours QRP transceiver within 15 m of the company MIZUHO however, in the end she motivated me to get involved at least symbolically.
My equipment was modest: a handheld transceiver MX-21S with performance only 1.5 W, 4 m coaxial to the magnetic base on the roof of the car and 1.4 m telescopic antenna with extension coil. Telegraph key RM-31 I had it directly in the car, the power came from the battery through the stabilizer and filters. The entire setup was stored in the vehicle – transmitter in the storage compartment, accessories on the passenger seat.
Even with such a minimalist equipment, I managed to establish many connections, including VQ9 a 4L, which was the highlight of the weekend. More European ones were added during Sunday QSO and even JY a UN.
During the race, I noticed how important they are patience, timing and the ability to listen. It often depended on whether the opposing station was willing to attend to a weak signal or was able to confirm the correct data. The key to success was monitoring of propagation conditions, patiently waiting for the right moment and adapting to the situation on the band.
In the end, for approx 5 hours of operation managed to achieve 46 QSOs with Europe, Africa and Asia representing approx 3,500 points. It may not be a stunning result, but it was real for me QRP experience and true spirit full day – the joy of simple technique, skill and perseverance.
