Prvý Short Listening Period contest (SLP1) roku 2005 sa uskutočnil 29. a 30. januára a priniesol zaujímavé výsledky medzi SWL. Gabriele Antonielli, I5-1990, topped the standings with a significant 10,608 points. They were followed by Achraf Chaabane, 3V4-002, with 6,840 points, and Lars Aström, SM7-8190, with 6,264 points. Other participants included experienced operators from the Netherlands and Belgium, while the contestants demonstrated their skills in short-term listening to VHF/VHF signals. The results of SLP1 represent a solid basis for further evaluations within the year 2005.
