Results of SLP, 3rd stage March 27-28, 2004

If you thought the competition SWL is just a quiet activity for a few enthusiasts, the third stage of VERON SLP 2004 will convince you otherwise! During the weekend of 27-28 in March, listeners from all over the world met on the airwaves and performed an exciting battle for every point. And the results are really amazing.

Jan Mandos (NL997) was once again in the lead, scoring an incredible 35,154 points and consolidating his position as the leader of the entire series. He was followed by Jozef Marcincák (OM3-0001) with 12,496 points and Richard Frank (DH2URF-swl) with 12,194 points, who showed that the competition is tough and every point can decide the ranking.

Small but dramatic battles took place in the middle of the table - Paul Lemeire, Achraf Chabaane and Alfredo Locatelli proved that even the lower ranks hide exciting moments and strategic decisions when listening to weak signals.

After three stages, it is clear that every SWL winner needs not only patience and technical equipment, but also a feeling for the right moment and the ability to catch every signal.
