The second planned flight STS-4 DEMO FLIGHT will be a flight on the occasion of the traditional Meeting of radio amateurs Borovce 2013, which will be held June 8, 2013 in the cultural center in Borovce near Piešťany.
Over four hundred radio amateurs from all over Slovakia, but also from Bohemia and Moravia gather at the meeting every year. The organizer Lacko OM2ALA agreed that we can present our activity a little at the meeting this year. Well, that will be best with a balloon launch [:-)] It will be a flight of a small latex 100g balloon with an expected range of approx. 16 km. One of our new PICO trackers should be tested again this summer.
The meeting is open to the public, of course non-radio amateurs can also come to the meeting and start, you are all cordially invited. We will continuously provide further details in the Missions section.
The start time has not yet been confirmed by the Slovak Aviation Authority. But we assume that it will be sometime during the morning hours.
