Broadcast from the ship Zittau at 630m
In days 2. – 4. November 2012, Jaro/OM1II and Luboš/OK2BVG/OM9AAI decided to transmit and make some nice connections on medium waves in the band 630 meters. Information about CW simplex operation, split or crossband will be provided directly on the broadcast frequency, or on the Internet in the DX-cluster.
Estimated frequency plan:
Simplex – 472,5 kHz +/- QRM
Split – 472,5 / 502 kHz +/- QRM
Crossband – 472,5 / 3547 kHz +/- QRM
MHz from Slovenia under the S53ATT mark:
630m – Kenwood TS-590 + PA 25 W
80m – ICOM IC-7000
Antenna:
630m – Marconiho T antenna
80m – dipol
With this event, they not only want to remember the band, which in the past also belonged to maritime navigation, but at the same time to remind, that from 2013 there will probably be a place on this band for radio amateurs in the segment 472 – 479 kHz. For the stated reasons and nostalgia for this band, they will broadcast directly from the ship, which was lent for this purpose by the company Slovenská plavba a pružnáty a.s. ( http://www.spap.sk a http://www.plavba.net/products/zitava/ ).
If you want to test the sensitivity of your devices on medium waves, tune the radios and call.
Jaro and Luboš welcome every connection, or SWL report, which will be rewarded with a nice QSL card with a current topic. However, force majeure can thwart the action, or bad weather, which would have a fundamental effect on the medium wave propagation conditions.
They look forward to hearing from you – Jaro/OM1II and Luboš/OK2BVG/OM9AAI
