Tomek SP9UOB asked me to interpret to Slovak radio amateurs his request for help in tracking the telemetry of his amateur balloon. The main goal of his flight is to verify the propagation of the signal in the 28 MHz band above the horizon (when broadcasting from a balloon).

A Howyee1000 weather balloon will be used for launch, the weight of the cargo should be 200 g.
The balloon will be launched already on Saturday 20.10.2012 at 10:00 UTC and will carry shortwave TX, which will broadcast with the following parameters:
FREQ: 28.4935 MHz (USB)
MOD: RTTY shift 170 Hz, 50 baud ASCII 8n1.5
The balloon's position will be tracked online at http://spacenear.us/tracker
– call sign SP9UOB-2.
You can use the dl-fldigi program to decode the telemetry and send the location to the tracker.
Those of you who have used this program to track the flight of our STS-1 balloon (stsproject.net) and do not yet have the latest version installed, please download it from the English UKHAS site - http://ukhas.org.uk/projects:dl-fldigi
After installation, you select flight SP9UOB-2, the program will automatically set parameters for RTTY decoding. Thank you all for Tomek!
