Results of the 1st stage of the SLP 2014

The opening stage of SLP 2014, held on 25–26 January, brought balanced, but mainly very active performances by listeners from all over Europe. Vladimir Ignatov (R3A-847) created the most significant lead, who with a score of 23,370 points significantly surpassed the rest of the starting field. Its result indicates high activity during both days of the competition, good use of the propagation conditions and especially systematic work in obtaining complete connections.

Jozef Marcincak (OM3-0001) finished in second place with a very solid result of 13,708 points. Although his distance from the winner is significant, compared to the rest of the field, this is a clear above-average performance. Jozef thus confirms his stable position at the top of the table, typical for experienced players SWL competitors.

Tretí Sjuk Veenstra (NL6904) dosiahol 10 140 bodov, čím sa držal v silnej prvej trojke. Jeho výkon odráža dobrú aktivitu a veľmi čistý log, čo je pri poslucháčskych súťažiach dôležité.

The middle of the table - Henk Mulder (PA1555), Alex Gorbunov (US-Q-73) and Helmut Grund (DE2HUG) - gives balanced, stable results in the range of 3400 to 6000 points. This is a group that, with better conditions or increased activity, can break through higher.

In the second half of the table we find competitors with a lower number of received connections - Johann Heus (NL9723), Marc Stinkens (ONL4638), Davor Kordic (9A4KJ) and Iris Ouwehand (NL13670). Their scores reflect more casual participation.
