SWL New Year contest 2015 priniesol opäť zaujímavé súťaženie medzi poslucháčmi z rôznych krajín, ktorí sa zúčastnili tejto tradičnej súťaže. Do hodnotenia sa zapojilo niekoľko desiatok aktívnych SWL staníc, pričom najlepšie výsledky dosiahli najskúsenejší a najpresnejší účastníci v prijímaní signálov.
In the SWL category itself, Anton Mandos took first place with SWL ID ONL908, who scored a total of 288 points. The second place was taken by Konstantin Vakhonin, RU4SS, with 213 points. Third place went to Marc Stinkens, ONL4638, who with 195 points confirmed his long experience and ability to pick up even weaker signals.
Other successful participants included Adriano Ficcadenti, I0-2046/VT, in fourth place with 179 points, followed by Johan Heus, NL9723, with 112 points. An important part of the competition was also the monitoring of less prominent signals, which was especially appreciated by Eugene Syromjtnikov, UR3QTN, and Matej Prochazka, OK2-36355, with 88 and 79 points, respectively.
Also interesting is the involvement of remote SWL stations from the USA and France, where Alex Gorbunov, US-Q-73, scored 65 points and Jean-Marie Monplot, FE9780-56, scored 59 points. These results prove that even with lower numbers of points, the quality of income and regular activity is very important.
SWL New Year contest 2015 potvrdil svoju rolu ako motivujúcu súťaž pre rádioamatérov a poslucháčov, ktorí si vyskúšali svoje schopnosti v sledovaní a zaznamenávaní spojení. Súťaž prispieva k rozvoju zručností SWL staníc a podporuje medzinárodnú spoluprácu medzi rádioamatérmi.
