Changes in the conditions of CQ WW WPX contests 2021

For a year 2021 all CQ WW WPX contests, teda RTTY, SSB aj CW, they will have a new category “Multi-Transmitter Distributed“. In this category, up to six individual workplaces can be combined within one DXCC and CQ zone into one team. They can have only one TX signal on the band at a time. It is also possible to use a remote station if the above conditions are met. It is probably also a response to the current situation with COVID-19, but the directors of the CQ WW WPX contests claim, that this category will be permanent.

The second change in CQ WW WPX SSB and CW Single Operator categories is, that it will be allowed QSO alerting, thus, alerts for possible connections, for example DX cluster. This does not only apply to Single Operator Classic Overlay categories, where it shortens at the same time operating time from 36 on 24 hours. The Multi-Operator Single Transmitter High and Low Power Classic Overlay is dropped from the list of categories. The need to create an audio recording of the race is also eliminated.
