Experienced DX operator Harald, DF2WO, announced his planned autumn DX trip that will delight hunters of rare prefixes. In the period 1st - 27th September 2025 he will be transmitting from the capital of Rwanda, Kigali, under the callsign 9X2AW Subsequently, he will move to West Africa, where he will be from 4th to 27th October 2025 active from Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso under the callsign XT2AW.

Harald is known for his quality signal and diverse antenna equipment. During both expeditions, he plans to work on all bands from 80m to 10m, with special attention also given to the 6m band - of course, when propagation conditions allow. He will use multiple antenna systems including Hexbeams, wire dipoles, and verticals, allowing him to be flexible in various conditions and offer a good signal even to remote areas.
Upon arrival at each location, Harald will be open for scheduled connections, which can be a great opportunity for those who want to ensure they catch him in the log. DX enthusiasts thus have the chance to prepare suitable times and frequencies to not miss out on unique African connections.

Rwanda (9X) and Burkina Faso (XT) are among attractive and not very common DX destinations. This two-month project by DF2WO will provide the opportunity to add two interesting African DXCC entity, and that in a short period of time.
