Bhutan
Bhutan, officially the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a small, mountainous country located in the Himalayas between India and China (Tibet Autonomous Region). With an area of approximately 38,000 km² and a population of around 800,000 inhabitants, it is among the least populated countries in the world. Bhutan is known for its preserved culture, beautiful nature and unique approach to development, which is based on the concept of "Gross National Happiness" and not just on economic growth.

The capital, Thimphu, is the political and cultural center of the country, home to government buildings, monasteries and traditional markets. Bhutan is a country of monasteries, known mainly for its so-called dzongs – massive monastic fortresses that combine religious, administrative and defensive functions. The country is predominantly Buddhist and its people deeply observe traditions, ceremonies and festivals such as Tsechu, where masked dances and processions take place.
The nature of Bhutan is diverse - from subtropical valleys to high mountain peaks that exceed 7,000 meters above sea level. The country places great emphasis on protecting the environment, so approximately 70% of the territory is covered by forests and Bhutan is one of the greenest countries in the world. Tourism is regulated by the "higher value, lower volume" policy, which guarantees sustainable development and preservation of the traditional way of life.
Bhutan is a fascinating country that combines spirituality, natural beauty and modern development with the preservation of unique culture and traditions, thus attracting travelers seeking an authentic and peaceful experience.
