On the last weekend of November, November 29-30, 2008, radio amateurs from all over the world will meet again in the most prestigious telegraph race of the year - CQ World Wide DX contest CW. Tento závod každoročne láka tisíce operátorov, ktorí sa snažia nadviazať čo najviac spojení so stanicami z rôznych krajín a zón sveta. Tradične ide o vrchol telegrafnej sezóny, v ktorom sa stretávajú špičkoví súťažiaci, expedície aj klubové tímy z exotických destinácií.

The following overview provides a list of notified stations that announced their participation in 2008. The table shows the brands, countries, zones according to CQ, competition categories and information about QSL managers. Among the most interesting are, for example, 3X5A from Guinea, 5X1NH from Uganda, 8Q7SC from the Maldives, or VK9AA from the Cocos Islands. There are also well-known multi-member teams such as PJ2T from the Netherlands Antilles, EF8M from the Canary Islands and LZ9W from Bulgaria.

All parts of the world are represented - from Asia to Africa and Europe to the Pacific islands. Many expeditions will use this opportunity to test technology, antennas and operational capabilities in challenging conditions.
