Preliminary results CQ WPX SSB contest 2026: Slováci a Česi na popredných priečkach
The world of amateur radio came alive again with one of the most popular races of the year - CQ WPX SSB contest 2026. Although these are preliminary results (so-called raw scores), it is already clear that the year 2026 has brought extremely interesting fights across all bands. It is particularly pleasing for us to watch the results list, in which the Slovak (OM) and Czech (OK/OL) stations did not lose and even dominated in many categories.
World top and absolute records
In the category single-Op All Bands High Power station reigns CQ9A (op. EW6W) with a staggering score of over 27 million points. Stations from South America and the Caribbean were placed just behind it, which confirms the excellent conditions for signal propagation in these areas. Detailed view of individual bands

Upper bands (10m – 20m)
The station did well on 15 meters OM5R (op. OM5DX), which in the strong competition of High Power occupied excellent 10th place in the world with a gain of 4,146,710 points. The upper bands were full of stations from South America this year (PT5J, D4C), but the European stations were able to come in second thanks to excellent antenna systems.
Lower bands (40m – 160m)
Here, "our people" literally broke free from the chain. In the category 80m Low Power stations from our region occupied almost the entire first half of the top ten. Except the winning one OK6T took 4th place OM0A (682,410 b.) and in 6th place OM0CS (350,924 p.).
An even more pronounced dominance occurred on 160 meters, where Czech stations took the first two places in the Low Power category (OK1K a OK4R). It is proof not only of technical maturity, but also of operators' endurance during demanding night shifts.

Multiple operators and special categories
In the category Multi-single High Power the station claimed OK5Z great 6th place (13.5 million points). In the category Multi-Two (two transmitters) with the Slovak team OM7M he fought his way to 6th place in the world with a score of over 27.6 million points, thus confirming his stable belonging to the world elite.
The category is also worth mentioning Rookie, where the station OM8A (op. OM2ADM) reached a fantastic 2nd place in the world. This is an excellent promise for the future of Slovak amateur radio sports.
Note: Tieto výsledky sú predbežné a vychádzajú z nahlásených denníkov. Finálne Order sa môže zmeniť po procese krížovej kontroly (log-checking), kedy budú odpočítané chyby a neoverené spojenia. Napriek tomu sú súčasné pozície OM a OK staníc vynikajúcim úspechom.

In the SO AB HP category, no one from OM/OK made a serious result?

So no one from OM got into the top ten in the world. Of course, the results of Joža OM3GI, Riša IS0JHQ (OM2TW) and Adam OM2ADM are great, but they did not make it to the TOP10 in the world and therefore are not directly in the overview. At the end of the article there is a link that leads to an overview of all stations.
Vila, you are comparing pears with nuts. If someone in SO AB HP in 36 hours does approximately the same as M/S in 48 hours, then his result is probably more valuable than the result of e.g. in M/S.
In addition, there is an entire elite in SO AB and the competition there is many times greater than in the categories of e.g. 80 or e.g. 160m and also QRP. There, hopefully everyone can make it to the TOP TEN in the world.
Rasta, you don't read with comprehension. There are no results in the article OM SO AB HP mentioned because they are not in the TOP10 in the world. Don't look for any other reason in it.
But I would like it if you would not disparage the results of QRP stations. Thank you
