It starts in a few hours CQ WW RTTY contest 2012. It starts on Saturday, September 29 at 00:00 UT and ends on Sunday, September 30 at 24:00 UT. Only RTTY in the 80-10m bands in SO categories (QRP, LOW, HIGH) and MO (LOW, HIGH). The exchanged code is composed of RST and CQ zones, US and VE stations also add the state abbreviation, or province.
There are 3 points for a connection with a station on another continent, 2 points for a connection on your own continent but not your own country, and 1 point for a connection within your own country. There are three types of multipliers:
1, one multiplier for each different contacted zone on each band
2, one multiplier for each different ground contacted on each band
3, one multiplier for each different US state or VE province contacted
