An experienced team of operators is going to Southeast Africa in November to activate Mozambique under the C8K brand. This expedition promises a strong signal on all bands and modern access to digital technologies.

Time schedule C8K
The expedition will take place in November 2026 with a clearly defined plan:
- November 9: Arrival of the team to the site.
- November 10-11: Construction of antenna systems and limited operation.
- November 12-18: Full operation on all bands (main phase).
- November 19-20: Dismantling and departure (limited on-air activity).

Behind the microphones and keys we will see (and hear) a lineup of experienced Czech operators: Petr OK1BOA, Petr OK1FCJ, Palo OK1CRM, Pavel OK1GK, Ruda OK2ZA, Luděk OK2ZC, Karel OK2ZI and David OK6DJ.

Radio stations: Mix of top devices: Elecraft K3, Kenwood TS480HX, SunSDR2DX, SunSDR PRO, Icom 705 and Yaesu FTdx10.
Amplifiers: 6x JUMA PA1000
Antenna park: turn signals yagi for 6m and 10m, 3x spiderbeam (10-20m incl WARC), 2 el. Yagi for 12/15/17m.
Verticals: Phased verticals for 30m and 40m.
Low Band special: Verticals for 80m and 160m with dozens of radials.
Reception (RX): 3x Beverage antenna and RX vertical to ensure successful connections even in difficult conditions.
Mozambique
Stretching along the southeastern coast of Africa, Mozambique is a land of fascinating contrasts and wild nature. With more than 2,500 kilometers of coastline lined with white sandy beaches and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, it is one of the continent's hidden gems. Archipelagos such as Bazaruto and Quirimbas offer pristine coral reefs that are a paradise for divers.
The interior of the country consists of vast savannas and national parks, such as Gorongosa, where one of the most important biodiversity restoration projects in Africa is underway. Mozambique's cultural identity is shaped by a rich history that mixes African traditions with strong Portuguese and Arab influences. These are reflected in the colonial architecture, the rhythmic music of Marrabenta and the spicy cuisine with the smell of piri-piri. Mozambique is a place where untamed nature meets the warm hospitality of the locals.
