The Eta-Aquarids are among the more significant meteor showers for radio amateurs. The swarm will be active from April 19 to May 28, 2004. It moves at a speed of 66 km/s. The moon will impair visual observation at the maximum, which falls on May 5. This is quite broad, while expected maximum number of rebounds per hour (RHR) around 60.
The most suitable time for connections in the SW-NW direction is 07-10 UT, in the E-W direction 04-09 UT and in the SE-NW direction it is 06-10 UTC. In the N-S direction, the best time for connections is not.
