The European Commission has opened additional frequencies for WiFi (5-6 GHz)

According to TA SR “The European Commission decided yesterday to open additional radio frequencies for a wireless network known as WiFi. EU Member States are to make frequency bands available 5150 – 5350 MHz a 5470 – 5725 megahertz for WiFi by the end of October.”According to international conditions, the Slovak Republic has fulfilled this obligation in advance. In both frequency bands it is possible to operate radio equipment intended for network construction in accordance with international requirements on the basis of general permits, announced by the Telecommunications Office of the Slovak Republic. There are no fees or reporting obligations for the use of the frequencies.
