Jérôme LeCuyer, F4DXV, is a satellite enthusiast who regularly attempts the longest links possible via ham radio satellites. He regularly goes to elevations from where it is possible to work via satellites even at a very low elevation. By connecting with Casey Tucker, KI7UNJ, via the RS-44 satellite, they managed to push the distance of a possible connection to 8402 kilometers. This beat W5CBF and DL4EA's previous record of 8,357 kilometers.
Also on the AO-27 satellite, F4DXV achieved a record entry by connecting with Michael Styne, K2MTS. The distance between them was 5904 kilometers.
