It is certainly not usual for an article on www.CQ.sk related to the film. The Czech translation of "Mission in jeopardy" didn't do well, but you would buy a DVD called Tanier či Parabola (The Dish). Probably not… unless you're a radio amateur, HI.
Film je vtipnou a sviežou exkurziou do pozadia veľkého vesmírneho projektu Apolla 11, misie, pri ktorej milióny ľudí pri televíznej obrazovke zatajili dych, keď Neil Armstrong vystúpil na povrch Mesiaca. Príbeh je situovaný do austrálskeho mestečka Parkes, kde uprostred ovčej farmy stojí najväčšia parabolická antény na južnej pologuli…
The screenwriters did not have much work, as the theme of the moon landing is very attractive and engaging. You will see four technicians whose task is to ensure the connection and television transmission from the landing of man on the moon. "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind", are the famous words of Neil Armstrong when he stepped out of the module. In forty years, humanity has taken a huge step in the technical field as well, and from the point of view of radio amateurs, it is interesting what the technicians had to deal with.

Familiar faces include Sam Neill (Jurassic Park). Director Rob Stitch and the writers focused on "humanizing" the technical side, thus creating a film that is interesting to a wider audience. It doesn't aspire to be the best movie of the year, but it's worth a look.
The Stereo&Video DVD in cooperation with Bonton Home Entertainment is supplemented with bonuses such as comments by the director, screenwriters and producers, as well as archive materials from NASA and the Apollo 11 mission diary. The sound is in 5.1 format, with both English and Czech dubbing. Subtitles are available in the same languages.
