dear friends,
soon it will be a year since a small group of enthusiasts first met and decided to resurrect APRS in OK from ashes. During this time, a huge amount of work has been done, and we are among the most developed and, from a systemic point of view, the most unified regions of Europe.
Everyone who contributed more or less to the forum (where 98 radio amateurs are registered to date, 2489 posts in 174 categories), built DIGI, Igate, wrote applications, developed HW, or just did awareness or came up with a good idea, has a huge share in this. It can be safely stated that this is the largest joint amateur radio project in recent times.
Since APRS is an open system and its development ends only when we run out of ideas, the amount of useful information is constantly increasing. Although we know that this or that problem has already been solved in the forum, finding it is becoming more and more problematic.
Therefore, the time has come to create a WEB, where not only information for beginners will be collected, but also topics and solutions to problems, which will be good to have clearly available, because, as is known, the biggest obstacle to progress is the invention of the imaginary.

Since a good website makes its content, it was necessary to design the WEB in such a way that anyone could contribute to it, not only experts in HTML, PHP or other computer GURUs. It is therefore based on an editorial system, and inserting posts, links, images or files is no more complicated than writing in Word or contributing to a forum. If any of you have the desire and interest to share with others, do not hesitate to contact Libor OK1ALX or me, and you will immediately receive access rights to write posts.
Finally, I would like to especially thank Libor OK1ALX, Peter OK1MGJ and Pavlo OK1PT, thanks to whom we can start from October 1, 2009: www.APRS.cz
P.S. The form and content of the pages are not yet final, for some time we will fill the content from the old website and the forum. Please send any comments, suggestions or questions to the discussion forum.
Final note: this website is by no means closed to OK amateurs only. We welcome anyone who is interested in the issue.
